Helping young people feel understood, confident, and better equipped for what life brings.

Growing up comes with a lot.

For children and teens, anxiety can look like worry, irritability, shutting down, big emotional reactions, difficulty at school, conflict at home, or simply not knowing how to explain what they’re feeling. For parents and caregivers, it can be hard to know when something is a phase—and when your child may need a little more support.

Madison creates a warm, affirming space where young people can be themselves, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and develop tools that help life feel more manageable.

She works with children ages 6+, teens, young adults, and families navigating concerns such as:

Anxiety, worry, and stress
Big emotions and emotional regulation
School and academic stress
Peer and friendship challenges
Family conflict and communication
Behavioral challenges
Confidence and self-esteem
Coping skills
Family changes and transitions
Young adulthood and life transitions

My Style.

I work with children, teens, and families who may be navigating anxiety, big emotions, behavioral challenges, school stress, or changes within the family.

My goal is to create a warm, affirming space where young people can feel understood, build confidence, and develop practical skills for managing what life brings their way.

My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in each young person’s strengths. Drawing from CBT and DBT-informed approaches, I help clients better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.

I also believe supporting a young person often means supporting the people who care for them. I partner with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication, establish supportive routines and boundaries, and develop practical strategies that can help home and family life feel more connected and manageable.

Together, we’ll build on what’s already working while creating new tools for the places that feel hard.

What Therapy With Madison Can Look Like.

Therapy with a child or teen shouldn’t simply feel like an adult asking them questions for an hour.

Madison meets young people where they are developmentally and relationally. Depending on the client’s age and needs, sessions may include conversation, skill-building, emotional-regulation strategies, reflection, creative or developmentally appropriate activities, and practical ways to apply what they’re learning outside of therapy.

For younger children, parents and caregivers are an important part of the process. Madison may periodically connect with caregivers to understand what they’re noticing at home, discuss progress, and identify ways to reinforce skills between sessions.

As children move into adolescence, therapy also becomes an important place for developing independence and having space to talk openly. Madison works to balance a teen’s need for therapeutic privacy with thoughtful caregiver involvement when it can support treatment.
