We outline exceptions in Informed Consent paperwork, which is reviewed in detail during the initial phase of therapy. With virtual sessions, we de require that clients find private spaces to avoid interruptions or breaches of privacy.
Do I need special computer equipment?
All you need is a computer (laptop, desktop computer, tablet, or smart phone), internet connection and video capabilities through your device. From there it’s easy-peasy. We offer assistance in connecting via a secure HIPAA compliant service.
What if I don't have a good Wi-Fi connection and get kicked off?
Argh! Yea, so technology problems suck, right. That’s ok, we have several back-up options with a worst case scenario being a phone call. Not ideal, but it doesn’t happen often.
How can I connect with you over the internet?

What if Telehealth is a no-go for me?
Fair. Virtual therapy sessions are not for everyone, however we’ve found that clients enjoy the flexibility and after 1-3 sessions they’re good to go. We say, give it a try and see what you think. If you don’t like it, we’re happy to make a referral for an in-person therapist. We want to empower you to make the best decisions for you and will support you getting what you need with a therapist that is just right for you!
