Clinical Internship Program

Dream Life Out Loud, PLLC is excited to partner with graduate-level mental health programs throughout Washington State. With a team of Washington State Approved Supervisors, we offer clinical interns supervision and mentorship, a thoughtful professional development program, and support for their growth and journey towards licensure.

Who Are Dream Life Out Loud Interns?

Our interns are students in MSW, MACFT, LMHC, LPC or other mental health graduate-level training programs. We pride ourselves on decolonizing mental health and selectively invite interns who value dismantling white supremacy and oppression, while amplifying anti-racism as an extension of our work. Thus, we are seeking interns with demonstrated experience working with people from marginalized or underrepresented identities, including people of color, LGBTQ+ interns, individuals making a career pivot, and non-traditional students.

What Sets Our Internship Apart?

As a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians, we offer an integrative care approach to mental health treatment, we guide clients through skills and tools centered around their unique lived experiences, needs, identity, relationships and community.

While actively and directly decolonizing therapy, we understand the predisposition to trauma for persons of color. We examine the outcomes of racism, xenophobia, colonization and white supremacy with each client and empower them to establish epistemic justice by way of their personal narratives.

We examine how we show up for ourselves, our team, our clients and our community. We have a culture of learning, a culture of rest, and actively decolonize our workplace for practice rooted in liberation.

Quarterly Focus for Professional Development Outcomes

Our clinical internship prepares interns for lifelong learning and unlearning, focusing on developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to evolve the art of therapy while integrating ethics, theory, and clinically relevant skills to serve diverse clients.

PAID INTERNSHIP

It is our belief that unpaid internships maintain structures of white supremacy and create barriers to advancing mental health in marginalized communities. Dream Life Out Loud, PLLC internships are paid opportunities for professional development and interns offer rich learnings and growth for our practice, clients and community.
