Our work is grounded and amplified by the work of strong women. From supervisors, mentors, and consultants to partners and racial equity advocates, our services integrate expertise from the following women.

Erika Cherry, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 15 years experience working with individuals, groups, couples and families. In her private practice, Awaken Therapeutic Services, PLLC, Erika infuses trauma-informed mindful awareness with an intersectional approach to treatment that highlights the complex, and often overlapping, cultural, familial, societal and historical factors that contribute to a person’s identity and perspective.

Her experiences with group dynamics in healthcare and community settings fuels Erika’s commitment to raising awareness to the need for intentional collective healing in spaces where collective trauma is being perpetuated.

Dr. Sharon Young, Ph.D., LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor. Dr. Young provides clinical supervision with services designed to provide resources for psychotherapy development. Master Therapist also provides direction and mentoring in establishing or improving an existing clinical private practice. Infinite Possibilities is a group private practice under the leadership of Dr. Young,  which was established in 2005 and has grown in size to as many as seven therapist under her direction. Being in business for 14 years has allowed Dr. Young  to experience any and all of the obstacles and challenges that come with being able to have a successful private practice. 

Dr. Ashley A. Hicks, PhD, LMFT-S is a licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical supervisor, researcher, consultant, speaker, and teacher. She is currently Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Couple and Family Therapy Clinic at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. With over 10 years in the field she has offered trainings and presentations at the local, state and national level to mental health providers, healthcare providers, clergy, community and government groups to help better address mental health concerns such as eating disorders, anti- Black racism, race-based stress, and trauma informed and focused care.

Ashley has worked in a number of clinical settings serving clients from diverse backgrounds, including racial/ethnic minorities, LGBTQ populations, homeless and low socioeconomic individuals and families. Her clinical practice and research focus primarily on the needs of women, Black individuals, and families as well as those struggling with body image and eating disorders.

Shannen Coleman Siciliano is a certified ICF professional coach and certified in Embodied Social Justice. She provides for-purpose, social impact leaders with executive coaching to help them connect to themselves, heal, take aligned action, create more joy, and ultimately lead stronger teams and co-create stronger communities.

Shannen has 20+ years of experience working in the for-purpose sector. After starting her career as a 2nd-grade teacher, she worked in nonprofits and led education campaigns and coalitions that helped win more than $4.5 billion (yep, a lot of money) for public education at both state and local levels. She has consulted with national nonprofits, for profit companies, schools, and foundations.

Shannen knows what it’s like to be the one of the “only” as she’s been the only Black woman or person of color in many rooms or around various tables. As the the founder and Executive Leadership Coach at Begin Within SCS, LLC she provides coaching that centers Black, Indigenous and People of color.
